Live-in Care Scotland

What is Live-in care?

Live-in care provides constant, round-the-clock care from a dedicated carer who lives with you in your home, offering assistance at a moments notice. Live in care enables the client to stay in their cherished home while receiving essential support. Familiar surroundings and fond memories can enhance your care plan. Our carers know this and that’s why we keep people comfortable at home.

Not only will your live-in carer be able to provide you with practical and physical care they can also be a source of companionship and emotional support. All our carers are handpicked for their kind, empathetic personalities. We will find someone to match your likes and dislikes.

Keeping Up Your Hobbies

Personalised support for you and your family

Support needs can change over time – and sometimes quite suddenly – so it’s important we provide a flexible and adaptable service that helps you and your family feel supported at all times. That begins in your home care assessment, where we will take you step by step through the essential information to create your unique care plan based around your daily routines and needs. We will regularly review your care plan.

How We Work With Your Requirements

Maggie’s Live-In Care act as a recruitment agent, appointed by the Client to identify and introduce a suitable candidate. Maggie’s Independent Live-In Carers will be sourced and suitable CV’s submitted for consideration by the Client.

All Carers are checked for clear and current DBS, Driving Licence, up to date training, Liability Insurance and, in Scotland, a PVG check. All this prior to their CV’s being submitted. The Client will be the Employer as the carers are self-employed.

The preferred length of stay is six weeks, with Carers able to return after a break. However, each Client is different and packages can be tailored to suit. For complex care needs, our live-in carers can receive additional training to enable them to offer catheter and stoma management. Live in care offers a round the clock option with the carer living in your home. There will usually be one live-in carer but possibly, in some circumstances, supported by a night carer if deemed necessary.

What People Say

Alice Wordie
Alice Wordie
Following a spell in hospital Mrs Wordie required a little assistance and companionship. Maggie spent three weeks with Mrs Wordie assisting her in the home, with cooking meals, driving to appointments, visiting family and friends. Mrs Wordie lives in Doune near Stirling. Both parties were extremely happy with the arrangement.
Ruth Leach
Ruth Leach
I can highly recommend Maggie as a carer. She cared for my Mother for nearly a month in her home in Gatehouse of Fleet. She is conscientious, proactive, has a kind nature, empathetic with a positive outlook. Through very difficult times of Storm Eowyn, with no electricity at the house for 5 days, Maggie was resourceful, problem solving and capable of handling constant uncertainty and change.
